If an image with a video backdrop doesn’t look right

Here are some suggestions to follow if you see a problem in an image with a video backdrop. For example, it may appear that your body has a “hole” in it where the backdrop shows through.

When creating an image with a video backdrop, make sure of the following:

  • Your location is well-lit.

  • The camera isn’t moved. If you’re using the camera that’s built into a portable computer, place the computer on a stationary surface.

  • The background behind you is uniform in color and doesn’t move. (You may want to photograph yourself in front of a bare wall or curtain.)

  • The colors in the background are different from the colors in your clothing, hair, and skin tone.

  • The background contains no reflective surfaces, such as mirrors or shiny objects.
